AP CM YS Jagan visits flood-hit areas in Dr. Ambedkar Konaseema district

Ambedkar Konaseema, Andhra Pradesh, 26 July 2022: Taking stock of the flood-affected villages in Ambedkar Konaseema district, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy saw the devastation caused by the flash floods and later enquired if the relief measures taken up by the state government had reached them on time. The Chief Minister was seen walking in the muddy areas in the village and directly interacting with the victims. While addressing the people, the Chief Minister reassured the flood victims that they would be compensated for the damages. CM said that “Measures are being carried out to reach out to every household, but in case people miss, can reach out to the nearest village secretariat”.
 
While enquiring, the CM asked if the people of the village were looked after well and had received the financial assistance of Rs 2,000 at the relief camps along with the distribution of ration, i.e., 25 Kgs of rice, jaggery, potatoes, onions, palm oil. CM Jagan revealed that when the floods began, the government focused on immediate relief programs to prevent loss of life and property. He said that all precautions had been taken on time. “Estimates of flood damage are ongoing. When we receive them, we will ensure support for losses incurred. We will do justice to all,” CM said.
