FIEO Programme Highlights Digital Platforms for Exporters
Hyderabad, 11 th September: A special program on “Digital Platforms for Exporters” was organized by Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) with the support of UCO Bank with the objective of helping exporters leverage digital platforms to streamline operations, drive innovation, strengthen their international business, reach new markets and enhance global competitiveness.
The program highlighted the growing importance of digitalisation in international trade and provided exporters with practical insights into using digital platforms for streamlining processes, strengthening their international business.
Addressing the program, the speakers emphasised that digital platforms are transforming the traditional export ecosystem by enabling businesses, particularly MSMEs and first-time exporters, to streamline process, documentation compliances, export incentives, financial opportunities, credit risk protection and explore international markets with greater efficiency and lower costs.
The participants were briefed on various government digital platforms and services that can support exporters for export-import procedures, managing export documentation to customs procedures, GST compliance, banking transactions, export incentives and credit-risk protection. Live demonstrations helped exporters, particularly new entrepreneurs and businesses entering international trade, navigate digital processes more efficiently and comply with regulatory requirements.
Experts encouraged exporters to make effective use of technology throughout the export journey—from processes, documentation, compliances, credit risk mitigation, identifying prospective markets and buyers to business communication.
The program witnessed participation from exporters, manufacturers, MSMEs, entrepreneurs, trade professionals and other stakeholders interested in expanding their businesses internationally.
The organisers stated that such program would contribute towards creating a digitally enabled export community and support exporters in achieving greater visibility and access in international markets.
The program concluded with an interactive session in which participants discussed their challenges and explored opportunities for using digital platforms to increase exports and build sustainable global business relationships.
