Introduction:
“Kara” is the latest film starring Dhanush, directed by Vignesh Raja. Known for selecting roles that suit his body language and acting strengths, Dhanush once again brings a grounded character to life. Released on April 30, the film blends a rural emotional drama with a heist-based storyline, revolving around land, family, and responsibility.

Plot Summary:
Karasamy (Dhanush), fondly called “Kara” by his close ones, survives by committing small thefts along with his friend Murugesh. He marries Malli (Mamita Baiju), but his parents in a remote village remain unaware of this, as he had run away from home 16 years ago after stealing money.

Now, Kara returns to his village with his wife, planning to use his family’s 8 acres of land as surety to take a bank loan and start a mess business. However, he discovers that due to crop failures, farmers in the village—including his father—are drowning in debt, and their lands are under bank mortgage.
