A German tourist who allegedly caused damage to a 16th-century statue in Florence, Italy, while posing for a photograph is now facing a substantial fine, according to city officials. A video, which was shared on social media by Florence Mayor Dario Nardella, captures the tourist as he climbs the renowned Fountain of Neptune in order to snap a picture. Unfortunately, during the 22-year-old's ascent of the monument's chariot, a piece of marble broke off, and on the way down, a hoof of one of the four horses was damaged. The city, in a statement acquired by multiple news outlets, estimated the damages at approximately $5,400.
