Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with a warm reception from the Indian diaspora upon his arrival in Jakarta, Indonesia, early Thursday morning for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-India summit. In a video shared by a news report, Modi was shown meeting diaspora members who welcomed him with flowers and Indian flags. The Prime Minister also briefly engaged with various individuals from the Indian diaspora in Jakarta, even helping adjust the headgear of one of the children. Members of the diaspora also took selfies with Modi. This visit to Indonesia took place just days before the G20 Summit in New Delhi, where Prime Minister Modi made a brief stop to participate in the India-ASEAN Summit and East Asia Summit.
