On Friday, ISRO chief S Somanath partook in a religious ceremony at the Chengalamma Parmeshwari temple located in Arunachal Pradesh, one day prior to the scheduled launch of the Aditya-L1 mission—India's pioneering expedition to the sun. Somanath performed prayers at the Chengalamma Parameshwari Temple in the Tirupati district of the state, in preparation for the Aditya-L1 Mission, India's inaugural solar exploration endeavor. The launch is set for September 2 at 11:50 am, taking place from the Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh. In discussing the mission, Somanath emphasized its significance and disclosed that the satellite will require 125 days to reach the L1 point.
