Toyota has unveiled a new car that uses ethanol as its main fuel. This car, named the Innova HyCross, can also create its own electric power and has an electric vehicle (EV) mode. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who encourages the use of cleaner fuels, introduced the car on August 29. He mentioned that cars create 40% of India's pollution. This new ethanol-powered car can help reduce both pollution and India's reliance on costly oil imports. This Innova HyCross model meets the latest Bharat Stage 6 emission standards. India intensified its focus on biofuel and cleaner alternatives last year.
