In Hyderabad, police have stopped a large begging scheme. They arrested one man, Anil Pawar from Karnataka, who had 23 beggars, including eight children, working for him. Each beggar was paid Rs 200 daily. These beggars were placed in busy areas, like Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, KBR Park and other busy places. Even though they made Rs 4,500 to 6,000 every day, Pawar only gave them Rs 200. The police started investigating because of complaints about beggars bothering people on the streets. They have now questioned all 23 beggars about the situation.
