In a major relief for farmers, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao, also known as KCR, has announced the completion of a massive loan waiver. As of today, the government has waived off loans for 10.79 lakh farmers, amounting to Rs. 99,999 each. Today alone, the government has wiped out Rs. 6,546 crore in loans. This comes as a part of the directive from Chief Minister KCR to alleviate the burden on the agricultural community. In total, 16.66 lakh farmers have benefited from this loan waiver program, with Rs. 7,753 crores of loans being written off altogether.
