Jangaon: Thick smoke engulfed the Intercity Express traveling from Secunderabad to Guntur, carrying passengers. This event occurred close to Jangaon station on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Observing smoke emanating from one of the train's carriages, the train staff promptly alerted the locomotive pilot. Upon receiving the alert, the locomotive pilot brought the train to a halt near Jangaon station. The passengers, already shaken by the potential danger, disembarked from the carriages and hastily moved away. Railway personnel arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough inspection of the train. Once the necessary repairs were completed, the train resumed its journey without significant delay. Officials breathed a sigh of relief as the incident did not result in any injuries
