Warangal: From 8:30 am on Wednesday until 6 am on Thursday, several areas in the erstwhile Warangal district witnessed heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, resulting in severe disruptions to daily life and power supply. The continuous downpour caused streams and rivers to overflow, posing significant threats to the region. Drone visuals captured the extent of the flooding, revealing vast areas submerged in water, and streams raging beyond their normal capacity. The powerful images showed the impact of the heavy rainfall on the landscape, causing concerns about potential damage to tanks and the road network. Official reports revealed that Regonda village in Bhupalpally district received the highest rainfall in the State, a staggering 44.43 cm. Chityal and Chelpur, also in the same district, recorded 43.40 cm and 39.40 cm of rainfall, respectively.
