Himachal Pradesh: In a district of Himachal Pradesh, the recent heavy rainfall and flooding caused streams of murky brown water to surge, dragging multiple cars along with them. A video captured the devastating scenes that unfolded across northern India. This particular incident occurred in Parwanoo, a popular tourist destination located in the Solan district of the state. The video depicted people standing on balconies, shouting and recording the destruction on their mobile phones as the cars floated amidst the rushing water. The torrential downpour transformed streets into tumultuous waterways, resulting in the destruction of bridges and rendering roads impassable. In response, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu urged people to remain indoors for their safety. Due to landslides and flooding at various locations, the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway is currently blocked. Additionally, the Shimla-Kinnaur Road is closed to vehicular traffic due to landslides and rockfall. Flash floods have washed away sections of roads in certain districts and caused severe damage to bridges.
