A student was apprehended for cheating with a mobile device during the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) group-4 examination held on Saturday. The exam, which was conducted across 33 districts in the state, had been notified in December of the previous year. The incident took place at Success Junior college in Saroor Nagar, Hyderabad, where an invigilator discovered the student using a smartphone to cheat just half an hour into the exam. The invigilator promptly seized the phone as evidence. Subsequently, a case has been registered against the candidate for malpractice, and an investigation is underway. In response to the incident, the Collector confirmed that apart from this isolated case, the Group-4 Paper-1 examination held across the district on Saturday was largely peaceful.
