Sakshi Kochhar, hailing from Parwanoo town in Himachal Pradesh, has made history by becoming the youngest commercial pilot in India. Born on May 30, 2005, Sakshi has surpassed the previous record held by Maitri Patel, another female pilot from India, who achieved this feat at the age of 19. With a strong aspiration to become a pilot, Sakshi opted for Science with Physics and Maths as her subjects in Class 12, laying the foundation for her aviation career. Although she had a passion for dance, in which she secured the first runner-up position in a State-level Dance Competition, Sakshi temporarily set aside her love for dancing to pursue her dreams in the aviation industry. To fulfill her ambition of obtaining a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Sakshi joined the Skyline Aviation Club in Mumbai. Upon completing her initial theory training, which lasted four months, she was sent to a certified training facility in the United States for advanced flying instruction.
