Former Gunupur MLA Ramamurthy Gomango has been handed a life imprisonment sentence on Tuesday by the Special Judge Court in Bhubaneswar, in connection with the murder of his pregnant wife in 1995. After nearly three decades of legal proceedings and police investigations, the verdict has finally been delivered. The court carefully examined the statements of 11 witnesses before pronouncing the judgment. Gomango was present in the courtroom as the judge delivered the verdict.
