In a recent turn of events, leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) rallied in Vijayawada, asserting their demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged abduction of a Member of Parliament's family from Visakhapatnam. TDP leader, Buddha Venkanna, drew attention to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's previous remarks highlighting alleged corruption by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Visakhapatnam. He vehemently accused the YSRCP leadership of direct involvement in the kidnapping, implying a grave political conspiracy behind the incident. Venkanna further theorized that the abduction might have been instigated by internal conflicts arising from discrepancies in profits made from land deals. Expressing his concern, Nagul Meera, another TDP leader, voiced the worries of Visakhapatnam's residents over the conduct of the YSRCP leaders. In an appeal to Amit Shah, Meera insisted on a CBI investigation into the contested land transactions in Visakhapatnam.
