Uttarakhand: A massive avalanche struck the mountains surrounding the Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand on Thursday, triggering memories of the tragic incident that occurred in 2013 and claimed the lives of around 6,000 people. Although no damage or casualties have been reported in the recent avalanche, a video capturing the event has gone viral on social media. The video clip shows a cascade of snow descending down the mountains, with pilgrims and visitors in front of the temple watching the snowslide unfold. The Uttarakhand government promptly alerted devotees, advising them to travel only if weather conditions permit and to park their vehicles at safe locations.
