Uttarakhand: In a bizarre incident that left ATM-goers in disbelief, an automated teller machine (ATM) in Ramnagar, Nainital district, dispensed live snakes instead of money, leading to a frantic scene of panic and chaos. The State Bank of India's ATM located on Kosi Road became an unexpected focal point when customers attempting to withdraw cash were met with slithering reptiles instead. The shocking incident unfolded on Tuesday evening when unsuspecting individuals inserted their ATM cards into the machine, only to witness snakes emerging from the dispenser slot. Frightened and startled, customers quickly fled the scene to escape the unexpected reptilian encounter, while informing the on-site security guard about the bewildering occurrence. The bank authorities promptly responded by temporarily shutting down the ATM to assess the situation. After receiving the information, the local snake catcher discovered a surprising total of 10 snakes inside the ATM kiosk. He captured the reptiles and later released them back into nearby jungle.
