Union Minister for Tourism G Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Mahabubnagar-Visakhapatnam Express at Mahabubnagar Railway Station on Saturday. The extension of the Visakhapatnam Express from Kacheguda (train number 12861/12862) to Mahabubnagar was approved by the South Central Railway (SCR) officials recently. This extension was implemented to address the lack of direct connectivity between Mahabubnagar and the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh region. The extended train service will now provide a convenient and direct transportation option for people traveling from Mahabubnagar to major cities in Andhra Pradesh, including Rayanapadu (Vijayawada), Eluru, Rajahmundry, and Annavaram.
