In a press conference held in Veliminedu village of Chityala mandal, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy declared on Sunday that a rebellion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's regime has begun, citing the Karnataka electoral verdict as evidence. Jagadish Reddy stated that the people of Karnataka have rejected the BJP's divisive and communal politics and taught them a befitting lesson for taking them for granted. "The BJP had toppled non-BJP governments in nine states and installed governments along with its allies in violation of the basic principles of democracy," Jagadish Reddy added. He further blamed the BJP for forming governments in an undemocratic manner, ignoring the people's mandate. Local legislator Chirumurthi Lingaiah accompanied the Energy Minister during the press conference. Jagadish Reddy also expressed his disappointment with the Congress party, stating that they have reached a state of bankruptcy and are unable to provide a credible alternative to the BJP at the national level, even if people voted for them.
