Karimnagar: A groom's unusual demand for a bike as a condition for his wedding created a commotion at a ceremony in Shankarapatnam mandal. The groom, Sangala Vinay from Vennampalli, Saidapur mandal, insisted that he would only proceed with the marriage if he received the vehicle, and even bet on it. The bride's parents were left in a difficult situation, but fortunately, Manakondur MLA Rasamayi Balakishan was present at the wedding and intervened to help. The MLA gave the bride, Anusha, daughter of former Ambalpur sarpanchi Lachamma, Rs. 50,000 in cash to assist with the purchase of the bike.
