On Friday, London Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSEG) announced that it will be setting up a Technology Centre of Excellence in the city of Hyderabad, which is expected to create job opportunities for around 1000 people in a year. This development comes amidst the four-day UK tour of Telangana IT minister, KT Rama Rao, who is seeking to attract investors to the state. LSEG's decision to establish the Technology Centre of Excellence follows a meeting between the Group CIO, Anthony McCarthy, and the Telangana IT minister in London, which resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The establishment of the Technology Centre of Excellence is expected to give a significant boost to the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector in Hyderabad, and lead to the creation of many employment opportunities while driving growth in the industry.
