On Monday, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the leading prime ministerial candidate in Thailand, gave birth to a baby boy just two weeks before the upcoming elections. Her aim is to return to power the populist movement led by her father and aunt, who were ousted by army coups. The 36-year-old announced the birth on her official Facebook and Instagram accounts, along with a photo of the newborn. According to Exit Polls, she is currently a leading candidate. In her post, she introduced the baby as "Prutthasin Sooksawas," also known as Thasin, and thanked everyone for their support. She mentioned that she would meet the press in a few days after her recovery.
