Former Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah collapsed in his car while en route to campaign for the Karnataka polls on May 10. The incident took place on Saturday morning near the helipad in Vijayanagara’s Kudligi. The 75-year-old leader had arrived in Kudligi in a chopper and was waving to his supporters from the footboard of his car when he suddenly started to lose his balance and fell backward while getting into the vehicle. However, his assistant caught him and moved him inside the car, and he was given first aid. Siddaramaiah has been actively campaigning for the Congress in the upcoming polls despite being over 75 years old.
