West Bengal: In a recent incident in West Bengal, a mob of over 100 individuals attacked police officers and footage of the incident has since gone viral online. According to a reports, the officers sought refuge in the home of 65-year-old Surya Pal, who recounted the events of the attack. The officers had been chased by the mob and entered Pal's room for safety. The attackers broke into the home through a window, armed with rods, sticks, and bricks, and physically assaulted the officers, leaving them bleeding and crying for mercy. Earlier, violent protests erupted after a 17-year-old girl was found dead, with her family alleging rape and murder.
