In a concerning development, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has received death threats following the murder of gangster Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf. The threats come as terrorists have vowed to launch attacks on India in retaliation for Atiq's killing. The situation escalated when a call was received threatening to kill Yogi, prompting the UP Police to increase security measures for the Chief Minister. These threats come as Yogi has been cracking down on mafia and gangsters since his government came to power in the state. Over the past four years, 178 criminals have been killed in encounters by the UP police. Recently, Asad, son of gangster Atiq Ahmed, was killed in an encounter in Jhansi. Within 48 hours of the incident, Atiq and Ashraf, who were accused in more than 100 cases, were murdered.
