Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Janata Dal (Secular) leader, HD Kumaraswamy, was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday night due to symptoms of exhaustion and general weakness. Kumaraswamy was taken to the hospital on the evening of April 22 on the old airport road in Bengaluru where he is currently receiving medical treatment under the supervision of Dr. Satyanarayana Mysore. Medical checkups and treatment are underway, and Kumaraswamy's health is reported to be improving. In a message to the media, he reassured party workers, saying, "I will rejoin the election campaign after getting some rest. Party workers need not be concerned about my health."
