The grand event, which took place at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, saw a total of 11,304 folk dancers and over 2,500 drummers perform the traditional Bihu Dance in the presence of Assam's Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma. The official adjudicators from Guinness World Records were also present to witness the record-breaking event. The Bihu performance set two world records - the first for the largest traditional dance and the second for the largest musical instrument group.
