In a shocking incident, the Vijayawada police have caught a fraudster who pretended to be a doctor and cheated several patients at various hospitals. The accused, Dharmavarapu Jayaram, hailing from Vizianagaram district, had only completed his intermediate education and had previously worked as an assistant to a doctor at a private hospital in Visakhapatnam. However, he left his job and went to Bangalore, where he worked at another private hospital for a brief period of 15 days. After leaving Bangalore, he came to Vijayawada and started living in a hotel. The fraudster posed as a doctor and went to different hospitals, where he pretended to interact with patients and their relatives. Jayaram successfully managed to cheat several patients at Andhra Hospital, Vijaya Hospital, and a hospital in Guntur. He took advantage of patients' trust and collected money by saying false stories.
