Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to name a state that has performed better than Telangana in the past 9 years. KTR listed the achievements of Telangana and claimed that it had the highest per capita growth in India, provided drinking water to all homes, completed the world's largest lift irrigation project, and has the best rural development model in India with 100% Open Defecation Free (ODF) plus villages. Telangana is also the second highest paddy producer and the highest number of IT jobs creating state in India. KTR also pointed out that Telangana has the highest green cover growth, won the second highest number of awards for municipalities, and is among the top 4 contributing states to Indian GDP.
