Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Vande Bharat Express today and other projects worth 11,300 crore in Telangana. However, the Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, skipped the official programs and did not receive the Prime Minister at the airport. During a public meeting at the Parade Ground, PM Modi criticized the KCR government for delaying several projects and causing inconvenience to the people. The Prime Minister accused a handful of people of being against development and promoting corruption and nepotism in the state. Without naming KCR, Modi said, "They look for benefits for their family in every project." The PM highlighted the initiatives taken by the Center in Telangana, including the Metro project and the addition of 5,000 km of National Highway at a cost of Rs.15,000 crore. He appealed to the people of Telangana to support them in fighting against corruption and nepotism for the sake of the state's development.
