Bengaluru: Election officials intercepted and inspected the private car of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai while he was on his way to the Ghati Subramanya temple in Bengaluru Rural. The inspection took place as part of the enforcement of the model code of conduct during the ongoing election season in the state. Following the announcement of the poll schedule, the Chief Minister had surrendered his official car and was travelling in a private vehicle. The car was stopped at the Hosahudya checkpost, where officials conducted a thorough search. A video of the inspection was circulated on social media, causing a stir among the public.
