PM Modi inaugurates Bengaluru's newest metro route that will revolutionize commute - Check details!

Bengaluru's public transport system received a major boost on Friday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 13.71 km Whitefield (Kadugodi)-to-Krishnarajapuram Metro Line, connecting 12 stations. The impressive project, built at a cost of Rs 4,249 crore, is set to benefit five to six lakh Bengalurians working in tech parks, export promotion industrial areas, malls, hospitals and several Fortune 500 companies.

The new Metro Line is in line with PM Modi's vision of expanding the Metro Network in the country. Over the last nine years, the network has expanded from 248 km in five cities to 848 km in 20 cities, with 991 km of metro lines under construction. With this, India's Metro network will become the fourth largest in the world, surpassing Japan.

The inauguration ceremony saw top officials and dignitaries in attendance, and the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the project in his speech. "The new metro line will not only provide comfortable and safe travel options for commuters but also boost Bengaluru's economy and infrastructure. It will improve the city's connectivity and enhance the quality of life of its citizens," said PM Modi.
