Former US President Donald Trump made a comeback to social media by posting videos on Facebook and YouTube last Friday. Trump had been barred from these platforms since the infamous attack on Congress by his supporters on January 6, 2021. Trump’s Facebook page and YouTube channel featured videos titled “I’M BACK!”. The videos showed a CNN news clip that announced Trump’s election as the President of the United States in 2016, followed by a 'Trump 2024' screen. In the video, Trump is seen saying, “Sorry to keep you waiting.” Earlier on Friday, Alphabet Inc’s YouTube had reinstated Trump’s channel. Meta Platforms Inc had earlier this year reinstated Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. Though Trump's Twitter account was reinstated by the platform’s new owner Elon Musk in November, he is yet to post anything on the platform.
