Assam: A woman in Nalbari district of Assam called off her wedding after the groom, Prasenjit Haloi, arrived too intoxicated to perform the wedding rituals earlier this week. Several videos showed him appearing dazed and struggling to participate in the ceremony, even passing out on the floor in one of them. According to one of the bride's relatives, almost all of the groom's family members were drunk, and his father was even more inebriated. Despite efforts by both families to continue the ceremony, the bride ultimately decided not to proceed. Following the incident, the bride's family filed a complaint with the Nalbari police station seeking compensation for the cancelled wedding. Now, the video of groom sleeping at wedding venue is going viral on social media.
