A group of fishermen from Bangaramma Palem, located in S Rayavaram Mandal, Ankapalle district, made a unique catch while fishing in the sea. They managed to haul in a massive teak fish that weighed a staggering 1500 kilos. The fish, which is not fit for consumption, is highly sought after for its medicinal properties and is valued at around 4 lakhs on the market. After casting their nets, the fishermen noticed that something heavy had gotten tangled in them. As they pulled it up, they were surprised to find a colossal fish ensnared in their net. Despite the fish's weight, the fishermen managed to bring it back to shore, where they proudly displayed it to onlookers who had gathered from nearby areas. While the fish was not fit for human consumption, experts in the field confirmed its use for medicinal purposes, which may have contributed to its high market value.
