Hyderabad: The family of KMC medical student Preethi, who passed away while receiving treatment at NIMS hospital, will receive an ex-gratia payment of Rs 30 lakh from the state government. Additionally, the government has pledged to offer a job to one of the family members of the deceased in the Panchayat Raj department. Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao stated that the government would provide all possible support to the family and take strict action against the perpetrators on the orders of CM KCR. Expressing his grief and sorrow over the passing of the medical student, CM KCR conveyed his condolences to Preethi's family, who are in deep sorrow and pain. An investigation is currently underway into the incident, and the accused has already been apprehended by the police. Minister said those found guilty during the trial will be subject to severe punishment, and all necessary measures will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening again.
