The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made a significant move in the Delhi liquor policy case by arresting the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, on Sunday. The arrest follows allegations of irregularities and corruption in the formulation and implementation of the new excise policy for the national capital. The AAP leader was taken into custody after over eight hours of questioning, during which his answers were deemed unsatisfactory by officials. As a result, security has been heightened outside the CBI headquarters where the Deputy CM will be lodged for the time being. Sisodia is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. This marks the second round of questioning for Sisodia, who had earlier stated that he was prepared to spend several months in jail. The CBI had summoned him on Sunday, requesting his cooperation in the ongoing investigation.
