Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava' cultural festival at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on Friday, amidst the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi and other officials. The festival, being held as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', will provide a platform for hundreds of artists to showcase Karnataka's rich cultural heritage through dance, music, drama, poetry and other art forms. During the event, PM Modi also took a walkthrough of the exhibition and interacted with the artists. In his address, the Prime Minister praised the people of Karnataka for their contribution to the country and their commitment to the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. He cited the establishment of Karnataka Sangh as proof of the people's determination to strengthen the nation during its early years, and stated that this same dedication and energy continue to drive the state today.
