Harry Brook, the English cricketer, has broken the record held by former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli for the most runs scored in the first nine Test innings. Brook broke the record during his unbeaten knock of 184 in the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington on Friday, taking his tally to 807 runs, surpassing Kambli's record of 798 runs. Brook also surpassed the likes of Herbert Sutcliffe, Sunil Gavaskar, and Everton Weekes in the process. With an average of 100.88, Brook now has the second-best Test average after nine innings, with Gavaskar leading the list with 129.66.
