The Industries Minister of Telangana, KT Rama Rao, has announced the government's ambitious goal of adding $100 billion to the value of the life sciences sector in Telangana by 2030. The announcement was made during the inauguration of the Bio-Asia Summit event at the H.I.C.C. KTR stated that the best results are already coming in that direction and the state is making remarkable progress towards the same. According to the Minister, Hyderabad is on the brink of becoming a pharma manufacturing hub of international importance. With the Pharma City nearing completion, the world's largest integrated pharma manufacturing cluster, efforts are underway to double the size of the life sciences sector in the State from $50 billion to $100 billion in five years.
