In a disturbing incident, a Post Graduate (MD) student of the Anaesthesia department at Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) in Warangal allegedly attempted suicide while on duty at the MGM hospital on Wednesday. The student is said to have administered herself an injection in an attempt to end her life, and was found unconscious by hospital staff. She was rushed to the emergency ward, where CPR was administered, and is currently in critical condition. According to reports, the student had been experiencing harassment from a doctor at the hospital, which is believed to have led to her extreme step. She had previously filed a complaint against the doctor with the KMC Principal, who held counselling for the accused. However, the student's attempt at self-harm has shocked the medical community and raised questions about the effectiveness of existing measures to prevent such incidents.
