Welspun India Limited, a prominent player in the global home textiles market, announced the opening of an advanced textile facility in Chandanvelly, located in the Rangareddy district of Telangana, on Wednesday, 22 February. The new facility, established under the company's subsidiary WAMIL (Welspun Advanced Material India Limited), was inaugurated by the Telangana Industries & Commerce Minister KT Rama Rao. During the launch event, Welspun India Jt. MD and CEO Dipali Goenka highlighted the company's decision to choose Telangana as its business location over Gujarat. Four years ago, Welspun India had considered starting its business in Gujarat, but after meeting with Minister KTR and learning about his investment vision, they decided to establish the venture in Telangana instead.
