Karnataka: On Sunday, two senior bureaucrats in Karnataka, D Roopa and Rohini Sindhuri, engaged in a social media feud, causing embarrassment to the IAS and IPS associations and the state government. According to the sources, Roopa, an IPS officer and Managing Director of Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation, posted on Facebook, accusing IAS officer Sindhuri of violating service conduct rules by sharing pictures of herself with male IAS officers. It is learnt that Sindhuri denied the allegations, stating that the screenshots were taken from social media posts and WhatsApp status that were falsely being used to scandalize her. She accused Roopa of acting out of personal hatred and needing counselling. It is said that Sindhuri also warned Roopa of legal action and criticized her for targeting individuals and seeking media attention instead of focusing on substantial work.
