The Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore kicked off a night-long celebration of Mahashivratri on Saturday. The event, titled "The Great Night of Shiva", began at 6 pm on February 18 and will continue until 6 am on February 19. The celebration is being led by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and is open to both physical and online attendees. The program is also being live-streamed at Bengaluru's Sadhguru Sannidhi, allowing devotees to participate in the event remotely. Thousands of people are expected to attend the event in person, while many others will join in online from Sadhguru Sannidhi in Bengaluru. The foundation has stated that people from all walks of life are welcome to join the celebrations, and entry to the event is free. Mahashivratri is one of the most significant festivals in India and is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. It honours Lord Shiva and celebrates his grace and valour.
