Amaravati: In a major setback for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh, former minister and senior leader Kanna Lakshminarayana has announced his resignation from the party. However, an official announcement yet to be made and he will handover his resignation to BJP leaders.

Kanna Lakshminarayana met with his followers in Guntur to discuss future activities before making the announcement. He cited dissatisfaction with the state leadership of the party as the reason for his departure. The departure of Kanna Lakshminarayana and his followers is expected to be a significant blow to the BJP's prospects in Andhra Pradesh.
