Six workers sustained injuries in a mishap that occurred at the Steel Melting Point -2 wing in the Vizag Steel Plant. According to informed sources, the accident took place when hot metal was being transported from the SMS-2 and came into contact with water, resulting in a burnt conveyor belt. Although there were no fatalities, some of the workers were critically injured and were rushed to the Seven Hills hospital for treatment. The other workers who sustained less severe injuries were transferred to the steel plant general hospital for medical attention. In response to the accident, officials have stated that they are currently investigating the incident and gathering information to disclose the specifics. However, preliminary reports suggest that the metal was accidentally transported through a ladle, which led to the unfortunate incident.
