Union Cabinet Expansion: Names of these Telangana MPs in race for Union Minister post!
Telangana is set to have its second minister in the Union Cabinet by the end of the month, ahead of its legislative assembly elections later this year. Currently, Secunderabad's G. Kishan Reddy serves as the Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development.
According to a source, there are several vacancies in the Union Cabinet and it's likely one of them will be filled by a BJP parliament member from Telangana. Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind in the BC category, Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao in the Girijan category, and Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman are among the top contenders for the elevation.
Contrary to previous speculation, this appointment is expected to be made soon.
