One pilot was killed and two others were injured in the accident. The IAF has ordered an inquiry to determine the cause of the crash. The two aircraft were participating in a simulated combat mission at high speeds when the incident occurred. The aircraft had taken off from the Gwalior air base where an exercise was underway.
