Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leader Konda Surekha made controversial statements against senior party leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. She claimed that the party lost the election due to lack of unity and called for action to be taken against Venkat Reddy, alleging that he publicly supported his brother in the Munugode elections and did not participate in campaign efforts. Konda Surekha also stated that Venkat Reddy's actions have caused confusion among the people and that the party should take action to clear up this confusion. These statements come as the new Congress in-charge for Telangana, Manikrao Thackeray, arrived and held a meeting with party leaders at Gandhi Bhavan. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also attended the meeting and met with Revanth Reddy, leading to a reconciliation between the two. However, Konda Surekha's comments may cause further tension within the party.
